Has lots of quality of life improvements, includes five solitaire games
It used to be that Solitaire was one of the hottest games you could play on your PC, and before yesterday, I had almost forgotten how much I love this game. Microsoft Solitaire Collection for Android (that’s weird typing) is a great collection of six different ways you can enjoy a game of Solitaire from the comfort of your mobile device, rather than your desk.
If you’ve never played Solitaire before, it’s one of the most popular single-player card games that exists, perhaps the most popular. The idea is that you need to separate the suites of cards from lowest to highest in four columns, but how you accomplish that depends on which game you decide to play. I won’t waste time explaining the intricacies of the game, but the game has some very simple and concise instructions on how to play each game.
There are five games in this collection: Klondike (classic Solitaire), Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid and TriPeaks. I’ve never actually played Pyramid and TriPeaks, but as I mentioned above, the app is really good at explaining things well enough to get you started. Plus, there are a lot of quality of life improvements that help the game. For instance, if there is a move you can make, you can simply tap a card and it will automatically move anywhere on the board it is able to.
If you’re not a fan of card games then Microsoft Solitaire Collection certainly isn’t going to change your mind. But if you are a fan then this is an excellent companion app that you could take with you on the go and enjoy a nice game of Solitaire anywhere.
